Poland’s liberal-conservative Civic Platform (PO) party has quite an impressive English language website revealing contacts with centre-right groups in other CEE countries and an interest in thinking through what it means to be on the pro-market centre-right in CEE. It also carries a report that the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly has appointed two parliamentarians (one a Polish Senator – for Civic Platform presumably) to investigate the phenomena of electoral fraud in British local government elections. As electoral procedures in CEE countries – designed under much international scrunity quite recently – are fairly state of the art, that’s not inappropriate. http://www.platforma.org/index.php/en
